What's the worst diet advice you've received?
1-minute read | I'd love to know the worst health (diet) advice you've ever received. It's the topic of the month ahead. While I have my own advice, which I'd like to toss, I want to know yours.
What's the worst health (diet) advice you've ever received?
The family and I are currently enjoying the great outdoors. I had to run to the local McDonald's to get just enough Wi-Fi to send this. While I love the irony of sending such an email while sitting at McDonald's, I thought it was a perfect time to open up a conversation I want to have this month about healing from diet culture.
I seemed to have struck a chord with you in the land of obsessing about health and overcoming bad body days, and I want to continue that conversation.
While I have my own beef (no pun intended) with the health space, I'd love to know yours.
Let's get a conversation rolling about some of the worst, craziest, most extreme diet advice you've ever heard, witnessed, or even taken part in.
This isn't about shame. Trust me, there is no shame here. It's about moving forward, which sometimes happens by taking a quick peep down memory lane!

I’ll see you in the comments!
Oh, I could list hundreds as I think over the years I have tried them all! Worst advice...Diet....Keto, Ayds, tuna lettuce diet, watermelon diet, grapefruit diet, low carb, high carb, cabbage soup diet, eat 1x a day diet...etc...etc..etc...
Have learned to make healthy eating a lifestyle...my eating lifestyle is vegan...and I tey n focus on eating healthy for my brain body rather than dieting!!
Extreme low carb - I think if not monitored by a health professional, an extreme low carb diet can adversely affect you physically and mentally. #2 would be so-called processed food diet products. I would drink a regular Pepsi before having a diet pop. Real food, though, is key. The only “diet” I believe in is the Mediterranean diet. 😊
