The Perks Of *The Health Club*
Inside the Health Club That’s Changing How People Think About Wellness -- You don't want to miss out!
Are you the subscriber type or a member person?
I’ll be honest, most of my life, I’ve been the subscriber type. No judgment there. Subscription felt safe, or maybe better said, more invisible. And I liked it that way.
I wanted to come in and leave without being seen. It’s why I get so annoyed every time I go to COSTCO. Can’t a person look around before committing?
That’s what’s nice about a subscription. There is little commitment. It’s an invisible model where you get access to what you need without any accountability. It definitely serves a purpose (and I’m so happy to provide this option for you). But there is a downside.
The downside to subscription-only options is that you have a limited community, which has been proven in research to decrease how much action you take (if any). Most subscribers consume information and do nothing with it. It’s another form of over-consumption.
It’s basically my social media life. I scroll, consume, take in, but have zero intention of interacting.
That’s the subscriber vibe I’m talking about. It’s for the one who likes to sit in the back of the class, test the waters, while staying out of the discussion. And it’s totally fine. In fact, sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
But here’s the thing, it also limits what could happen.
It limits what could help you, and it certainly reduces your chances of changing. Because community, connection, and accountability are required to help you grow.
For years, I misunderstood the value of the word “membership.” Hence why I scoffed every time I had to show my Costco membership. I judged it harshly. It felt elitist, restrictive, like some velvet-rope club. But then I dug into the meaning.
Upon further inspection, I found that being a member is actually quite a powerful transformation.
“Member” comes from the Latin membrum, meaning part of the body. More specifically, a limb or organ. Which means membership isn’t about exclusivity—it’s about collectivity. A body made up of unique, necessary parts. Different, but all working together.
That changed things for me, and I hope it does for you, too.
Membership is active, not passive. It’s an act of moving toward what you want, not just away from what you don’t. It’s choosing to belong to something that moves you forward.
Of course, that also means it’s necessary to be selective about where you choose to belong.
Which is why this is not for everyone. But it is for someone. If you’re craving more, more accountability, connection, practical tools, and the chance to not just consume information but create transformation in your life, this membership to The Weekly Fill is for you.
That’s why I created The Weekly Fill Health Club.
I pride myself on being one of the few “health clubs” designed to make you healthier and happier at the same time.
And those two words rarely fit together.
