Should you start with a higher weight if you weigh more? There is a chart on the weighted vest page you linked to that makes it seem that way. Thanks!

I wouldn't say that. I would go based on muscle strength and work yourself up. I think 10-12 pounds is good for most people to start with. You can always wear it for a shorter amount of time and then finish your walk without it as well. It's training, like dumbbells. Let me know if this helps!
