The Mid-Week Deep Breath You Didn’t Know You Needed
Because sometimes, the little things change everything
What if we lived more positively than negatively?
I know that might sound out of your control. But is it?
One truth I’ve come to realize is that my perception is my choice, and how I perceive something alters its effects, both in my personal life and the world around me.
I know it might sound crazy, but it’s truly powerful.
In the field of quantum biology, there is a concept known as mirroring. It’s the idea that reality doesn’t simply happen to you. It reflects you. This is why children don’t just listen to their parents, but mirror them. It’s also why your outer life tends to take the shape of your inner narrative.
Your health routines, your tone, and beliefs about time, money, food, rest, and even life all reflect back through your body, your relationships, your energy, and your circumstances.
Meaning your life is not as random or chaotic as you might assume. It’s created.
We see this same principle written in scripture:
“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7)
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)
“Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.” (Proverbs 4:23)
We are designed as image-bearers, wired to reflect.
Quantum biology calls it resonance. Faith calls it image-bearing. Regardless, both say the same thing: your outer world reflects your inner alightment.
This is why reframing your inner world, revising it, and choosing it is a powerful response to influence the outcomes you want. It’s also why eating better or any other habit only works when it’s a reflection of a healthier internal state.
It all comes back to this: sometimes the best thing you can do is a simple reframe.
It’s recognizing that the little things aren’t so little and that these little things can completely change the way you show up in the world, and thus, how the world shows up around you.
So I end this by asking: What can you declare as little things that aren’t so little?
Here’s my list:
Letting myself go slow, without rushing to the next thing.
Drinking the glass of water like it’s an act of care, not a chore.
Celebrating someone else’s win without making it mean anything about me.
Praying even when I don’t have fancy words.
Holding firm to my boundaries.
Smiling at a stranger because kindness costs nothing and changes everything.
Holding space for myself and others without trying to fix it.
Letting the morning sun hit my face before I let a screen do it.
Letting joy be small and frequent, not rare and extravagant.
Sending the text first.
Choosing nourishing food, not to be “good,” but to feel more alive.
Speaking gratitude out loud, shifting the atmosphere of the room.
Letting something be easy.
Speaking gently to myself, especially when I make a mistake.
Starting again at 2 p.m., because some days you just need a refresh.
I’d love to know what’s on your list. Leave a comment below!
Don’t neglect the small choice, the simple reframe, the quick revision. It can change everything.
Take a deep breath! It’s going to be good!
Community check-in:
The Fall Refresh is going strong.
We’ve been talking about all of the practical things you should shift from summer to fall and winter, like how to stop drinking beverages with ice, what to drink if you don’t like coffee or tea, warm smoothie bowls, and a new meal plan for the week ahead.
The countdown is on:
I’ll be honest, this post was born directly from hitting nearly every roadblock imaginable with the Nourished Planner… and yet, I also know it’s going to be okay.
Yes, we’re a month later than expected on the launch, but the 2026 Nourished Planner is almost ready, and I can’t wait to give you a peek inside.
This year, we made a few tweaks to the planner based on elements that have been absolutely pivotal in creating a life-changing year for me. Let’s just say this version is built around understanding your body battery, plugging leaks, building capacity, and setting outcomes, not just goals.
It’s practical, flexible, and designed to actually support the life you’re living, not a life you think you “should” live.
Stay tuned! The announcement is just days away!
For now, take a deep breath! It’s all going to turn out great!
This list is exactly what brought me to a better me spiritually, physically and mentally. ♥️🙏 changing to warm drinks is taking a bit but did my smoothie and warmed it a up a bit...that was much different but not bad and seemed to fill me up quickly.
