This is attempt number 26 at writing something that feels like it matters. It’s also the point when I admit I don’t know if I have any great insights to share with you today.
But perhaps the best thing you need, even I need, is a quick check-in. To ask how are you (really) doing?
I know we’ve hit some hard topics, even controversial ones like my thoughts on Ozempic, why I disagree with the common thought that your body is sensitive (it’s really not), and why you should fall out of love with food.
Today, maybe the best thing is to give you space to process everything. And to process whatever life has put in front of you.
Let me remind you:
Life can feel impossibly hard. It can also be beautiful.
Both things can be true.
I’d love to know how are you doing? Leave a comment and let me know:
What are you eating that you love?
What’s a health question that you can’t find an answer to?
What are you loving about life right now?
My own highs and lows these days include:
Iced tea with a hint of peach. Influzena B hitting our home hard. Book club (just starting this book). This protein powder. My grandma passing. A herd of baby goats. Bathroom remodel (finally being done with mold). Pickleball. Warmer weather. Canceling our anniversary trip. Therapy. The Bible Recap Podcast. Cottage Cheese. Recording new podcasts for Health School**
I can’t wait to hear from you!
Wherever you are, I’m sending you a virtual hug! Don’t ever forget, it’s okay to take some space if you need.
xxoo,
