I aimed for the 8K yesterday and ended up over 10K! I've found that being forward thinking helps me to get more steps in. A few extra steps sprinkled t/o the day help you get to those bigger numbers more easily! I have a 3 hour meeting this afternoon, so I'm already planning scheming and considering ways that I might break up this time for even a few extra steps.

And yes!! Rain is wonderful but as long as there are some breaks to get outside in between.

ooohh! I love that you got more than you planned for. Isn't that how it generally works? They say if you plan for a ten-minute walk, almost everyone will end up doubling it! Love this reminder!

Hit the step goal earlier today than expected thanks to an extra long walk on the treadmill this morning. As much as I love the calmness of the rain, I’m ready for it to pass and outside walking weather to return!

I 100% agree, I enjoy walking outside more than inside! It's habit stacking (getting sunlight and fresh air) without working for it! Hopefully, the rain will pass soon!

Recuperating from a week long cold but still wanted to try to get extra 1,000 steps in today in prep for the challenge. Got it easily in unexpected way...a chicken got over the fence and in to the lot around the block so I had to go rescue our lovely lady lol 😆

I have been walking up a hill in the evening with my husband and I love to see the clouds in the valley. It’s always so peaceful and a great way for us to talk about our days with zero distractions.

Snuck away from the desk job between rain showers this afternoon to walk through a nearby park and get a few extra steps in! Walking along the river is always peaceful to me!

Walking is about way more than a step goal! It offers so many benefits that we tend to overlook. Hopefully I can show that more this summer!
