Walking Club: Week 03

Week three of The Walking Club is here, and reality has likely settled back in. Those mountain-top moments rarely last, no matter how good they felt. But that doesn’t mean the journey is over. This is often where many of us stop—caught up in unmet expectations, unexpected life situations, or the overlooked truth that change, even positive change, is hard.

We don’t talk about this enough, especially in the health space. We skip over the difficulties of consistency and what’s truly needed for transformation. Instead, we assume the right framework or effort will automatically bring results. But the reason diets fail or resolutions don’t stick isn’t just about the process—it’s about the capacity to complete the process.

What Is Capacity?

Capacity is about having the proper resources, tools, and energy to fuel change. It’s about maintaining a charged battery—because change takes energy.

Change, even when it’s good, brings hurdles and roadblocks. Not because it’s impossible, but because it’s different. Different requires new patterns, behaviors, and biological responses.
