If there were one factor that takes the cake in terms of importance in health, it would be light.

Light sets your hormonal and metabolic state long before food ever hits your mouth. It changes the way your body responds to everything. As I always say, understanding how your body responds is always more important than what you do.

Dr. Jack Kruse, neurosurgeon and quantum health advocate, puts it perfectly:

“You can have the perfect diet, but if your circadian rhythm is off, your mitochondria won’t use the fuel properly.”

That’s because mitochondria, the energy generators of your cells, respond to light first and food second. They don’t just run on calories, they run on information.

Photons (light) tell your mitochondria how to use the food you eat, which changes what your body actually does with it.

The type, timing, and quality of light you’re exposed to determine whether your body is in a repair state or a stress state.

Considering the massive shift from natural light to blue light, it’s no surprise that light has become a major topic in the wellness space. Our bodies are showing the effects of this shift.

Circadian disruption is linked to everything from hormonal imbalance to mood disorders to obesity and even cancer.

But here’s the good news: shifting back to natural light is one of the easiest and most impactful changes you can make. Inside, I share my six essential (and free) changes to help you master the darker days of winter and use light as a healing tool.
