The Holidays Don't Have To Be Exhausting (try these five things)

Because health isn’t just about what you eat or how often you move—it’s about the energy you carry and how you show up in your life.

Can I be honest about something?

I’ve talked for years about energy — the charge of your human body — and I don’t think it’s ever quite landed. At least not in the way I’ve hoped.

I don’t blame you.

I know it can sound a little woo, a little out there, too personal, and not concrete enough to grab onto. It sits close to what we’ve been taught about health, but just far enough away that it can feel slippery. And in many ways, understanding energy requires unlearning other things. Or, at least loosening your grip on systems and ideas you’ve relied on for a long time.

But can I tell you something?

This may be one of the most important concepts you’ll ever learn. Not just about health, but about life.

Understanding energy asks us to see health through the lens of the whole human: mind, body, and soul. Not just symptoms. Not just thoughts. Not just behaviors. But the completeness of who we are and how we move through the world.

So give yourself some grace.

This is hard to understand. Not because you’re behind, but because it’s different. And different can feel scary. Different means stepping out of familiar frameworks and breaking rapport with what you currently believe or the systems you’ve been operating inside of… and choosing something new.

But I believe deeply that learning to understand energy will matter more than ever as our world continues to change. The way humans carry energy is one of the things that fundamentally differentiates us from AI.

It’s our ability to feel the cold, wet snow hit our face. The butterflies in our stomach when we see someone we love. The unspoken exchange that happens when we’re truly present with another person.

That lived, felt experience — that aliveness — is energy. And it’s that energy that forms the foundation of health as it was always meant to be understood.

Next year, we’re going to dive deeply into this. We’ll build your capacity to understand health through this lens — not by fixing, optimizing, or diagnosing you — but by helping you reestablish your relationship with your own wholeness.

Because health isn’t something you earn, it isn’t something you perfect. It’s something you embody.

And energy is where that embodiment begins.

Today, I want to give you a brief overview of energy by explaining the charge of your body's battery. I'll also share five common energy fills and drains to watch for during the holiday season.

What I love most about the shift from the common health approach to energy is that it’s fully in your control. It’s not a metric or a matter of your environment, or what you’ve been through, but it’s what you choose to do with it based on how you charge your body (and the best ways to charge your body battery are 100% free).

Meaning, if you understand this, you shouldn’t need to spend thousands of dollars on the stuff the gurus are telling you (because those things are often just patching you, not charging you).

What’s your body battery?
