I’m attempting the impossible.
To make you healthier and happier.
Two words that have historically erupted like vinegar and baking soda, but two words I’d argue are intended to shape each other. Two words that must go together if we’re to experience either of them, at least to the fullest.
I spent many years putting my happiness on the back burner, believing I would find happiness when I arrived at that perfect healthy state.
A belief that lingers right outside our reach, like the carrot in a rabbit race. You can almost taste the happiness, but you realize you aren’t even close when you open your eyes.
When that didn’t work (and I lost my health chasing it), I quit health. I opted to find happiness regardless of my health.
I ate my heaping bowl of fruity pebbles in a nostalgic memory that brought me joy. Never mind how temporary it was.
I slept in. I binged Netflix. I relaxed. And I almost found happiness. I almost got there.
I got a taste of the carrot, but I couldn’t make it last.
I couldn’t escape how my body felt, even if I could pretend I didn’t care about how it looked.
I cared. A lot. And that care impacted how I felt, including my state of happiness.
I’m not trying to argue happiness is the goal—or even health, for that matter.
I’m the first to tell you neither is a place you arrive but a way of life.
Potentially you could have one without the other. But could you live either to the fullest without the other?
All I’m trying to say is that health and happiness go together, like peanut butter and jelly. They’re just better experienced together. And here in this space, I want to bring you both.
To give you a place to experience health without giving up your life.
And a place where you can walk in happiness, even in the trenches of discipline.
It won’t be perfect. Clear cut. Or found in the next click-bait-five-step system.
Sometimes I wish it was. I wish there were an easy button. But most times, I’m so glad there isn’t. Because I think it’s in the flailing that you learn to swim. It’s in the falling you learn to run. It’s in the growth that you start to thrive.
That’s why I’m happy to introduce you to this new space. A brand new platform dedicated to going deeper, growing wildly beyond you could imagine, and healthifying more than your body (although we’ll do plenty of that) but your mind and soul.
The place where health and happiness collide. Like hydrogen and oxygen-producing water that fills your well.
