I used to think of health as like piecing together a puzzle. Each step required the tedious process of finding the perfect match and placing it precisely where it belonged. It was a constant chase for perfection.
However, during a health crisis of my own, I realized that the tools I was using to "stay" healthy were actually part of the reason I had crashed.
I'm not saying every health idea perpetuates the problem, but I've learned one foundational truth: no system, healing modality, plan, or supplement works without energy. It's like having the perfect car for your family but never filling the gas tank. Without fuel, it simply doesn't run.

Your metabolism drives your health and healing—physically and psychologically. So, when was the last time you took an inventory of your metabolic health? Is it thriving or barely getting by?

I know it's easy to get lost in symptoms—to become overwhelmed by them. That's why I'm reminding you that symptoms are not "problems" as much as they are communication signals directing you toward what you need.

Energy Budgeting
We rarely give our body credit for what it deserves. Like all systems inside your biology, your metabolism works tirelessly on your behalf to maintain a positive energy state. And It works even better if you know how to help it.
What I love most about metabolic health is that it is one of the few systems you can actually "change." By "change," I mean that you can influence your metabolism to support the positive use, flow, generation, and expansion of energy.
Unfortunately, modern life—with its desk jobs, excessive blue light exposure, and reliance on convenience foods—often disrupts this balance.
Even common health practices can drain energy, such as:
Eating too little (find out here if this could be you)
Avoiding entire macronutrients
Overexercising
Excessive fasting
Obsessive or confusing health practices that lead to emotional despair and self-hate
These health practices pull you in the opposite direction—out of balance, dysregulated, and living toward metabolic adaptation (or depletion).
But, the path to health must support and generate energy, not deplete it. This is the essence of living a bioenergetic life—a way of being that cultivates energy, builds resilience, and fosters health in every aspect of life.
